They'll buy shit because they don't really give a shit about the supposed "soul" argument of vtubers, that the voice is the person, etc. they couldn't give a flying monkeys fuck about any of that (honestly I don't myself, having character vtubers is entirely valid like changing the VA for an anime character is, I still hate Unlimited / Brave though)
They just see cute animu girl moving and think "I WANT THAT".
