>>99947884Colors are off. Face shape is a bit too long. Wolf cut is played out. It's generally overdesigned. This is the easiest way to spot a cheap design. Rather than putting the time and effort into making sure that the shape, proportions, colors and theming were perfect, the character designer slapped a bunch of disparate themes together, potentially to hide the fact that they're using some kind of template and just dressing it up differently for every design.
I would look at Cover's designs and try to consider the elements that they have in common. They spend huge money every generation on their designs because they are banking on these designs resonating with an audience and drawing them to give the girl behind the design a chance. They very rarely overdesign and when they do it is usually intentional to signify a chaotic personality. If you look at the best designs on the market, they design a cute girl first and only once they have that part nailed do they move on to giving her subtle, iconic theming. The designs are simple and deliberate.
There's nothing particularly iconic or unique about the theming elements of this character, so why bother? The reality is that it's only themed because that's what the other girls do. It's themed because this look says "hey look world, I am a vtuber". Being overdesigned is bad. Being cookiecutter is bad. This design is the overlap in the Venn diagram where it manages to be visually busy while simultaneously having nothing that makes it memorable.
