I agree with you. I found GitS 2: Innocence to be an absolute slog. It was so pretentious and boring. Visually, it was beautiful, still one of the most beautifully animated films ever crafted. For me, though, a film cannot be just a visual treat, it has to have substance.

It was so in love with its message about humanity, it just went overboard. 1995 teetered on the edge, but reeled it in. Like you said, the movie is one of the most beautifully made, but god what a snooze fest. The manga version is worse.

You would have to cross into a different dimension with a different timeline. A cooler timeline, where Deus Ex got more attention and Der Donald never became POTUS. Basically, it's not happening in this universe, on this timeline. Just like the cancelled Evil Dead total conversion on the Build Engine, the cancelled Black Sonata Resident Evil mod for Soldier of Fortune 2, the cancelled Wretched Abandon mod for Half Life 2, etc. etc.

Travel somewhere that isn't the worst of all timelines.

the only problem is with 4K files, the PNG versions are usually too large to post here. not like it matters, 4K JPGs are more than adequate
