In some units like this, the entire bathroom area is the shower - everything in it is waterproof, and space is at too high a premium to bother having a separate shower. In smaller units, you probably rely on sponge-baths and wet washcloths - it's not very luxurious but it saves water.
Storage is almost always under-floor and in-wall-panel storage in this kind of thing, that goes for food too. In fact the wall to the left of the monitor displays is a different color slightly, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's a sliding panel hiding a pantry.
