>>2170121>>2170123You can also use Smart Guides (Ctrl+U) which will snap the end points to the artboard when you're drawing them. It will be perfectly cut off when you export with the artboard, meaning you won't need excess overflowing outside of it. I prefer it this way since it makes the image cleaner while I'm working on it.
Normally I hate Smart Guides because its more annoying than helpful, but in this instance, it is very handy. You can then turn them off when done.
