So here's my line art for Sheryl falling down the stairs in her umbrella, the one I did in Photoshop as a vexel the other day:
>>1698191. I actually did it as a vector in Illustrator this time. Looking for QC, constructive criticism, etc.
I tried to be mindful of not just copying what was there exactly which I think is probably especially important for a small screencaps like this. The problem is though, that I'm not very artistic. I like to think I am because I clean and "redraw" manga chapters but really everything's there already and I just fix it up abn I work on easy shit. I tried to fix her one foot but just copying and modifying the other foot. I'm hoping it's not obvious but it is to me. I added the second button on her dress that was left out in the original. I have no idea how to draw a ribbon though. I really get the feeling that I'm going to need to actually learn how to draw for real if I want to get good at this and can't just trace shit and rely on artists have done for me.
Comparing it to the one I did in Photoshop with strokes, I already think it's noticeably a lot better. Being able to shape lines pretty much just automatically makes things look a lot nicer.
I have a question:
Is there some way to very easily make sure you're keeping adjustment bars parallel or do you basically just have to eyeball it? Outside of a couple of spots I was trying to keep the lines pretty uniform this time and I'm finding it very difficult. I'm guessing there's no "easy" way to do it and that it just comes with experience and time?
I love getting criticism from you all, please don't be bashful.
