1. Desaturate a copy of the image.
2. Raise contrast until you have a b/w outline of the object you want. In our case it's that ghost thing.
3. Copy the image and paste it on a mask, then invert it.
This gets rid of the lighter part of the image while leaving the darker parts. The rest is manual work and of course this method is not very accurate.
