>>1380433>>1380449Here is an example of how I would go about making your lines look smoother, using the image you are vectoring:
* Green represents the collar This is a BASIC, minimalistic fill based on the concept of using as few anchors as possible. You cannot see it in the image, but all the bezier levers are parallel to it's match on the opposite side of the line, and they all make perpendicular lines to each other in regards to anchors making a curve, to ensure smoothness.
* Purple represents shapes made by using three anchors: one to the first point of the shape, second to the next, and the third closes the shape by going back and latching on to point 1. Using the push/pull capabilities of the bezier levers, I just did a simple tweaking of them to get the shape I wanted.
* The red lines show where, to keep the lines consistent, I overlapped the lines. This box shows which lines need to be clipped, so they can be easily deleted, and not interfere with the lock of hair they are going through.
* The lips were made by putting in anchors, and again, matching the parallels/perpendiculars for that smooth look.
Everything else in black shows the path to the fills I would have made working on this image, with the green for the collar going underneath the locks of hair, in terms of priority. Again: there are dozens of ways to make the lines, but sometimes seeing someone else's perspective can help you determine if the way you are using, the other person's methods OR a hybrid of both can't lead you to make a better vector.
Hope this helps...
