I have attached an image - red shows flat-out issues like kinks, misaligned fills, and things that should be fills and not strokes. Blue shows a lot of what needs to be corrected for aesthetics - especially where consistency is concerned.
As Deko said: you really should look at the tutorials, and do more like that, before trying to break into a specific style - remember: not all styles translate to vectors well, because the ability to scale things up, just shows the errors more, and makes it so the pieces are not enjoyable...
