New phone came in last Wednesday but I haven't really gotten into ricing it yet so all I've got is this no effort rice.

I personally would choose to keep both solid because the part of the wall the bottom banner covers sticks out much more because of the colors is goes over. I can also see that you have a drop shadow on the bottom banner but not on the clock. I don't think it looks bad but I'm wondering why the shadow is only on one part. Did it look bad without it or not stand out enough from the dark color of the socks? Personally I would do the same to both the banner and clock but I think a shadow would ruin the look of the clock (Which looks great btw).
This next comment is completely subjective, but I would personally use a bold/semibold rounded font for the clock/weather/date (Open Sans Semibold, Arial Rounded MT Bold, Gotham Rounded Medium/Bold).
On a side note, what font did you use for the day?
