First thing that came to mind was your clock. The large bright gray matched no other parts of your set-up so that immediately bothered me. After changing it to a single matching dark tone of gray I was forced to make the hours and minutes white in order to see them well, which I think turned out nicely. I also went ahead and removed the thick border and replaced it with a 2px wide replacement. The background of the clock still looked very plain so I felt the need to do something about that too, but instead of adding a subtle pattern like you did I decided to take a different approach; I added a surrounding shadow originating from the thin borders.
Next we have your icons. Although your choice of icon set was a fantastic one I was still bothered by them. After a while I drew the conclusion that it was because of two reasons.
1.) The distance between them was so large the design as a whole looked off and gave a somewhat empty impression.
2.) The fact that there were 2 'banners' that both served the same purpose, yet still were implemented in your design so differently. The one at the bottom was both size- and position wise in my eyes far more suited to be replaced with a dock or a widget.
