The top image is one that is done with the standard Right Click > Set as desktop background with a zoom in and Print Screened. The bottom one is done through DisplayFusion (5.1.1) at 250% zoom and Print Screened. The image was of course originally PNG.
It seems that both Windows 7 and Windows 8 do the compression differently. If you have Windows 7, then DisplayFusion 5.1 Beta 8 and above fixes the issue. For Windows 8, it seems to be fixed in a later version.
