Well at least you didn't use the lasso tool so that's a beginning. But the problem with the magic wand is that you can't make the selection curves yourself or that it won't select all the pixels...
e.g. you can see a layer of white pixels around your render or it won't select a sharp corner fairly well. (And you forgot several spots to select).
I always use the pen tool cs it gives you better results yes it takes longer but when you get used to it you can do renders fairly quick.
