Also for lanczos, give
infranview.com a try it has it built in. Not sure how it compares to those expensive PS plugins but it beats wares or forming wad for a plugin on a uni budget. (though some do have good uni/student rates)
Make sure to turn off the google spyware install. Here is a image I only stepped twice in upscale using infran. It is a tiny image I would likely psss up on upscaling. But compare the two.
