The funny thing is, your image puts the "+" sign under the left thumb.
Look at the original image, the girl with banded sleeves.
The "+" is under her RIGHT thumb!
Either the artist didn't care, didn't now better, or the entire image has been "flopped",
the way they used to import manga into the US.
