>>1696389I don't think AHK will ever be dated. It is quite literally the scripting language for windows. If you want the best method of window placement, personally my best experience is with GridMove, however WinSplit may work better for you.
If you want to get super specific and start controlling preset layouts, try bug.n. I will also note (in case you were not already aware) bug.n and gridmove are written in auto hot key.
