The only other things I would change would be to get rid of the shadow round the image as the icons are totally flat, and maybe choose a slightly darker shade of grey? But those are just personal choices I guess.

Remove the dock, adjust the desktop grid to suit, and you can still use half-grid spacing to have rows of 5 and 4 at the same time. If you need all those icons, consider reducing the size of the render a little.
