>>2032328I actually used Illustrator CS6 to do this and tried to follow the process in the tutorial in OP.
Most of the time though it felt like I was fighting the program while doing these... It's depressing how long it took me to get the clipping mask on the bow to work so the polka dots didn't flow over the edge.
I did actually draw the buckle but I couldn't quite make it look right so I decided to leave it out, the layer is still in my ai file though.
And I actually couldn't figure clipping out so I just drew boxes within the main body of the stripe and then moved the anchors to the path of the body to fill it to the edge. Kinda hacky but it worked.
Thanks for the pointers though. I'll look more into how to do clipping so I can make the next one better.
I've also attached the second one I decided to vector out.
I'm at work now so once I'm home I can upload transparent hires ones. What resolution would you like?
