If your just starting out use strokes to do the line work, you can switch to using fill later once you get the hang of Illustrator.
There are some decently challenging things in the picture like text that you'll have to remove and the eyes which will require at least a gradient if not a blurred and masked object to recreate.
If you don't want to do it that's fine, its just something that seemed easy enough and I don't have any attachment to it either way.
