And while at the time that he started ricing it was a little annoying (constantly posting, MUCH more than he does now) it was quite productive with a lot of questions being asked and answers being given. It was definitely a good time for newfags and the like. Even after his shift to /g/ he hasn't really ever shitposted (outside of /g/). When someone asks a question about one of the rices a decent answer is usually given.
The only things that have really dragged down these threads have been anons like you that are either new or come from /g/ to complain. I agree that posting multiple desktops isn't a great thing, but it isn't dragging a thread down.
That and the tripfags that used to post often have kind of moved into lurking (Although you can find a few on irc) or don't really post at all. They definitely kept threads going and productive.
I guess I'm ranting and being a bit hypocritical at this point but I think this needed to be said in some sense.
