I really couldn't figure out what to do with the eyes so I just put something together. Next time, go for images where you can clearly see the details of the eyes. I would also recommend going for pictures without gradients until you are confident with your abilities with vector. Kind of take this step by step.
I haven't looked at your lines yet, but if I find any errors then I will point them out for you so you will know what to look out for next time. Over all, this is pretty good for a first vector. I am still fairly new to this as well. Good Job!
