Lately I've been trying to get a dwm setup going within X11/xQuartz on OSX (not pictured) but it's beginning to feel like a lost cause, since Aqua UI elements seem like they can't be disabled (ie auto-hiding the taskbar and dock just isn't the same as getting rid of them entirely...). It feels like a cop-out anyway- the minimalist philosophy of whatever UI I'd try to end up with would directly contradict the OSX shit in the backend.
I'm probably just going to get it over with and install Arch this weekend again; it's been too long. I'll leave OSX on for the vidya / music production or any official-capacity necessities that might arise.
So the real question: awesome, i3, or xmonad?
