I don't think I could have done any better.
Since you didn't have the original project file, the text and lines are a little off (slight jaggies, off white, especially on Asuka's side).
But the extending is top notch.
White is indeed better than blue/orange with white outline.
Dunno what my sleep deprived self was thinking.
I traced your work and applied it to the full res originals.
