That said they have to be damn good to show the correct divisions between ripples, frills for example, and shadows to give shape to sections of large semi-flat sections, like un-pleated skirts or shirts with breast shape.
I consider minimalism as large sections of solid colors and/or minimal gradients.
I would not consider the image posted a minimalist image or complete vector, it is a poorly executed hybrid.
I don't think the attached image is "minimalist"
