Images like this with really soft edges, lots of detail, back lighting, and curly hair are good to use GIMP's color to alpha on. It takes a lot more time than other images, though.
Here is just the render file itself. Be warned though, by itself, and on any sort of dark background, it looks like complete shit because of all the semi-transparent pixels I left in to give more detail.
