>>1651748I do agree that you'll get the best results with the pen tool, but it usually isn't worth the extra time and effort. Pic related, I cut this character out of a simple background with only magic eraser and the eraser, and made it look better with some innerglow and refine edge. I could also do the same with pen tool, but I'm definitely not going to do it considering the fact that the results will probably look identical.
