>>1776106Not sure. I did realize that the red part is supposed to be over the shadow from the original, so I changed that. I also found a couple other mistakes and made some changes. If there are any other fixes that need to be made, I will update it on DA so I don't spam the thread.
>>1776108Not too bad, but there are definite problems. The skull and face have huge thickness differences. You can have the mask be thicker than the skin, but the skin thickness needs to be much closer. As for the lineart, it is fairly clear that there are many areas that are not consistent and are wobbly. Make sure all your nodes are parallel in placement and handles. I definitely recommend looking at the Inkscape tutorial in the OP. You should notice that his lines are much more consistent, and were achieved by doing just that.
Also, the tutorial talks about making clipping masks here:
https://sites.google.com/site/jjaaba/main/page7 , down where it explains about the blush. Basically, you create a shape that sets the boundary for the blur, select both the blur and the clipping mask, and do the Object > Clip > Set. The clipping mask must be in the same layer as the blur, and be above the blur in that layer, in order to work. You would of course want to hide it under the lines of the animal. Just note that using a blur creates a raster, and will bloat the file size and can eat up a lot of RAM if it is overused. However, you don't have much of a choice since gmesh is only in Illustrator. I would honestly leave it as flat colors if it were up to me.
