but I noticed the neck is kinda thin and tall. Would it be possible to shrink the neck down or make it look a little less pencil-y?

I think you put your finger on it when you wrote "not matching up".
Nothing wrong with the eye itself, but it was incorrectly positioned.
I moved it and rotated it clockwise several degrees.
I also added a bit of shadow along the bridge of her nose so the eye wasn't so near the centerline.
What do you think?
