>>1796678So this is how it should look like, by applying everything I said here
>>1796672. The knuckles are all much smoother by using smooth nodes versus sharp, and the fingers are clearly shown going into the fingernails, and not the fingernails going into the finger. This allows the fingernails to be more pronounced, instead of looking like the character has very dull fingernails. I made the thickness greater, but that is more a personal preference.
I don't blame you for having a hard time getting it right. Hands/feet are generally very difficult to do, since there are many nodes that you have to add in order to create the shape and bending of the finger. As a tip, only add a pair of nodes at key areas of bending, such as at knuckles, the entry and exit of the knuckles and at any other noticeable bend. All of those nodes need to also stay parallel in placement and handles, or else the fingers become much lumpier and inconsistent. This certainly requires a lot of fiddling, and can take a long time playing with the nodes and getting thickness right. As an example, those four fingers that I did required 92 nodes and took me about 50 minutes to finish and edit, and I am still not 100% comfortable with it.
You will get better by practicing it more. Take the couple tips I mentioned above into account and it should help you on future images.
