Does anyone know why I keep getting these outlines around my gradients and what I can do to prevent them from showing up? The gradient is being applied to a shape I have pasted over the live paint layer. It's almost as if the gradient shape is shrunk by an extremely small amount during the copy-paste process. The outline is just as visible regardless of how far out or in I zoom, and shows up when I export.
I've tried two ways to create the shape: by using the live paint selection tool to select the area, copy and then paste it into place, and by manually selecting the paths outlining the area and copy-pasting them into place. Both methods have the issue occur.
I know I can just make this section of the live paint layer transparent and place the gradient below it but that causes another problem with the edges around the transparent area becoming jagged and shitty looking. I've also tried adjusting the anchor points and handles so that the gradient very slightly overlaps with adjacent areas, but that causes similar problems.
I apologize for the wall of text, but the illustrator forums and google were no help so I'm hoping maybe Daul or some one else here with extensive experience with Illusatrator has any ideas. It's becoming quite annoying and time consuming to fix these.
