The eyes are just viable in the examples because anything without eyes is just freaking eerie to me (as i have minimalism backgrounds...) and are on a separate layer then the rest of the coloring. I did the eyes for the most part with Gmeshes since I had a hard time getting the gradient correct with a traditional gmesh but the iris was done with a oval shape and Gaussian blur. Same with the major hair shadow since I did that shadow way back in the day. I changed the right eye to have highlights made of Gmeshes and i like how it turned out but would like to make it much easier to do if possible. For now I will stick with bluring with shapes for the time being. The only thing I really need to change about my previous work is her neck since the source image has all the skin colored in a purple hue.
