I think I've addressed the major stuff here. Those thrice-damned sweater fringes are giving me more trouble than I'd thought they would, but am I at least on the right track with Mairu's? Set the colour of the lot to something lighter, but only adjusted the shape and positions of the ones on the left. Too tired now to do Himeko's fringes or eyes - was hoping to get back to a regular sleeping schedule so I can set out for a long drive Saturday morning, but that's not like to happen today :<
^=- Any other issues here will have to wait til tonight. Hopefully I'll get the eye thing sorted (may just try the circle shape - never used it before, could be time to try it :-).
Also, it frustrates me to no end that Iceweasel won't pan left/right with shift+scroll like GIMP and Inkscape do :(
