tl;dr
Paint screws up semi-transparent pixels.
The pixels you see there as a white outline are those pixels that are 20% orange 80% transparent for example. Those are the smooth transition between outline and background. The background in the rendered case is transparency. Paint seems to turn this 80% transparency, to take the same example, into white so you get an 80% white 20% orange pixel. Sorry I'm bad at explaining but that's how it looks like to me and yes I know an 80% white 20% orange pixel is just a light orange and this isn't the real terminology for this but as long as it makes sense <3
