I think I have found one more thing. If you look at her hair on the left you will notice that the colour in between her hair is the dark blue of the background near the planet, so that area should have been a dark blue like the area right on top of it. Yet, the blurred part you added in was of a completely different shade making it look very out of place. Although now that I look at it, the original artist drew some kind of sandstorm/clouds on the left but not the right?
I'm grateful that you tried to help out so please don't get discouraged. I just can't use it as a wallpaper because my autism will flare up if it's too obvious that the area was altered heavily and stands out in my eyes.
I have also added my attempt at creating the "oil paint" effect. I just applied random filters and such in
paint.net so it's pretty messy but it's closer to the style of the picture in my opinion. Yes, I know her edges are ruined. I'm just trying to show what I meant.
