He’d poured everything into his pet planet; time- tens of thousands of years of it- effort- he’d recreated nearly everything on Earth from Heaven, and in turn had switched Heaven’s default language to English in honour of the most widespread language his humans had come up with- and most of all, love. His love was dedicated not to Heaven, but to Earth, the planet he couldn’t even interact with. He, the God they had paid so much attention to, couldn’t do anything but watch as the beings which had worshipped and appreciated him screamed and died. Most, as a matter of fact, didn’t even get a chance to scream; they were incinerated, crushed, electrocuted or torn apart before they even realized that they were being exterminated. Carthas had always been somewhat sentimental; he’d made humanity like him and the rest of Heaven’s inhabitants.
