This has probably already been beaten to death, but is there a way to create a gradient along a curve. Is this what gradient mesh is supposed to be? When I do the mesh button, it looks like it is trying to make a blurred checkerboard. I got nothing from searches so far, except something to the effect that something possibly similar to this was not supported by the svg format.
But for instance (just lifting from daul's screen) suppose you wanted the dark pink at 100 percent along the outer curve, and zero alpha along the inner, so the gradient would be very sharp or gradual where desired, and curved rather than linear or elliptical
