Hopefully this is clear enough, but I wanted to post some examples of my lineart at various levels of experience.
The top picture is my very first vector. I used strokes for the lines because I thought "why waste time using fills when I can just draw the lines once?" It has no depth and it makes the vector look cheap.
The second vector was when I decided to start using fills for the lines. You can see that I mostly tried to keep the nodes in pairs, but the handles weren't always parallel. I also had lots of unnecessary node pairs, making the lines look lumpy.
The third is a lineart-heavy vector I did after I got the hang of using fills. You can see that almost all my nodes are in pairs, the handles are mostly parallel, and each individual line had at most 3 pairs of nodes.
Hopefully this helps.
