When the device is fully charged it will glow 'with power', and when its low on battery the drill will loose its glow. As the battery drains past 30% the handle will start to turn a dark gray as well. So at 0% it would all be that dark gray. None of the light gray or green visable.
With UCCW you can set divisions in the bar based on certain percentages (I'm assuming zooper can to). You don't have to match the spiral, just make sure the base of the drill matches wth whatever % you want the drill to 'loose power'.
Another thing you could do is leave the handle portion light gray and only make the drill bit the bar portion. So at 0% the drill bit is dark but the handle is still in view. Similar to the right image but for 0% not 30%.
