I've posted, requested, and taken up requests in vector threads off and on for years now and I'm noticing this style of vectoring seems to be "in" now. Soft, blended, gradient-ish style coloring rather than hard, flat colors on top of each other. While this particular piece is clearly well done, this style of coloring seems out of place for an anime vector.
For instance, here's one I did 3-4 years ago. As a preference, I prefer these hard, flat colors that are basically solid shapes on top of each other rather than blended coloring and I'd like to know what style of coloring everyone prefers these days.
