So the night before last, I was on the last page of /m/ on 420chan and found a post by someone looking to have a song identified. The file name was song.mp3 as uploaded. The OP thought he heard it in an anime, however someone mentioned it might be from final fantasy games.

The sad thing is that I didn't have the common sense to bump the thread, but have been listening to it over and over through my browser. I managed to record, noise-reduce, eq, and remaster it to give it close to the feel it had (the bass is lacking...phone recording).
Any ideas? Gonna cross-post this on a few other boards, as well.
tl;dr I found a pretty cool song, didn't save it, didn't bump the thread, need to know what it is.
