>>2201409There's a million answers. I've used Linux as primary OS for 15 yrs. Started with Ubuntu, but ended up switching after a decade because 70% of time the distro would bork on a new version update.
Got convinced to try Manjaro 2yrs ago and I was hesitant because Ubuntu uses a package (similar to an exe in windows) that's pretty popular and I was concerned I'd need to install everything via the terminal (a pain IMO).
I've actually found Manjaro to be easier to use overall than Ubuntu; nearly everything I want to install is in Manjaro's software channel with the AUR (Arch User Repository) enabled.
Manjaro and Arch are nice because you get access to updates sooner. This can theoretically lead to broken things but I've yet to experience that.
MX Linux is pretty popular but I absolutely hated it because I hate the XFCE desktop environment. Mint is decent, but KDE looks too much like windows and I disliked that Mint did new version updates like Windows (maybe it's different now?).
I prefer the GNOME desktop environment since it's very different from windows, but KDE plasma looks really nice.
