You'll notice that the shading on the suit isn't hatching from
>>2190766 onwards. It's just a darker version of the basic suit color.
I copied those areas to another layer and filled them with solid black.
I can get any degree of shading by altering the transparency of that layer. Changing the suit color on the base layer automatically changes the shaded area so long as you keep the layers separate.
PS: I can 't afford Photoshop either.
