You need to make sure the color completely overlaps the other, and that you place a nodes directly on top of others to avoid the color peeking. If you do this in Illustrator, you can use the Shape Builder tool which is a massive help for that. You also need to shape the tips of your hair more. They are too fat, and do not curve in a specific direction. The same applies to the shadows. A lot of your shadows lack any emphasis, especially on the skin. They are much too light, and meld with the base color of the skin. You need to add more saturation and less brightness to the areas in order to show depth better. You should also add the shadows on the arms, if you're going to have it on the rest of the skin.
