From what you say it sounds like you think I made the home by copying the lock, but actually it's the other way around. It might seem lazy to keep everything almost the same, but any inconsistency would really bother my OCD so I refrain from major differences across my rices.
For the contrast thing I think it's actually a problem with display capabilities. The contrast is quite bad on my crappy laptop screen like you said, but the white widgets and icons really pop out and look fine on my phone's display.
I still kinda get what you say about the icons though, but I'd really like to refrain from banners because then I'd just be going back to my old rice (pic-related).
I guess a new wall would be the best way, avoiding vectors/renders though. Considering my lack of creativity, they're too hard to do without looking lazy, unprofessional and/or generic.
