Well I put it back to the original position and made it transparent like you did. I'm not sure if removing the element actually changed the rest of the layout or not.
I also fixed the overlay music library, which actually makes it useful to have. Maybe now I'll transfer my updated library off my laptop (I found ncmpcpp is very useful for tag editing) and use it.
