>>1676381I don't think it has to do with being "in" at the moment, like it's not a popularity thing, just and evolution. Back then the standards were much lower and people would stick to simpler stuff, mainly about shading. Using gradients, blurs and meshes for shading has just been developed within this thread since and been made easier to pick up because everyone is so much more knowledgeable about it. When it comes to preferences, I still generally go for more solid shadings anyway. This vector right here being my favorite I worked on.
