>>1753765Here is how I do it:
- Make a box with your rectangle tool
- Click your selection tool (the black arrow) and resize the box as close as you can.
- Click the gradient mesh tool (the one on your tool bar that looks like a web) or the U key.
- click in your box where you want color to change or where it is completely faded out (my horizontal line)
- click areas where you need it to change shape (that is my center line)
- click on the anchor points and pick your colors, in this case that almost-black color
**** I chose black for all of the points and set transparency to 0% where it fades out
You can then clip out the part that is not mesh with mask so you don't need to shape it and mess up the gradient you made.
For tutorials it depends on how much you want to be scared off when it is not as hard as they make it out to be.
I like the apple tutorial, and so does daul, but it is more complex than you would need to do.
