Okay, here's the thing:
1) Anime is just a shortened name for animation. The Japanese even call stuff from Disney Anime. Hell - Disney INSPIRED the very first animated features form Japan, down to the large eyes that we all know and love today!
2) about 70% to 90% of all animation done today is actually DONE IN KOREA, because they work for cheap.
3) Avatar and Korra are both animated in the "anime style". They are also both done by animation studios in Korea.
So, people It is a valid animated series. Ergo, it's "anime". As is Disney. As is The Simpsons. Hell, even Tintin and Polar express are Anime! Please get over yourselves, and just let any animated stuff in, like it should have been ages ago.
