But i need some advise for when I/you watch anime...
Should i stream it or download it? If i should download it then please tell me what you're using
I tried several times at /a/ and /r/ but no response on 4 hours... So i figured this was my last bus stop.

Can Contribute with this Wallpaper.

I use to stream it but after megavideo went down, I just download it. torrents are the best I have found. but you should also check used CD stores. they tend to have a good selection of used DVDs for cheep.

not just pirate bay. there a lots of anime exclusive torrent sites out there. much better than tpb. but yes you have to torrent for downloading. there are few "by episode" downloads and those are just annoying and to slow for the time it takes.

You really should download your anime if you are able to.
bakabt.com is your best friend for finding shows that have aired.
If you can't find them there, go look at nyaa.eu.
Nyaa.eu is also a great place to find airing shows.
And you can also go to myanimelist.net and find the show you're looking for and then scroll to the bottom of the page. There you'll(most of the time) find a list of fansubbers that have subbed the anime. Then you just goggle their name and hope that they have made a batch.

OP those should be enough to get you started. ultimately though, you should look to buying the dvds if you can. the second hand market is surprisingly full of the more popular shows

Hehe, most of the stuff that's availble in the swedish market are the mangas. Have never come across an anime in any DvD store yet. Feels so sad considering that there're alot of fans from sweden aswell.

Glad to help. its a shame that almost every board has people that dont like to help out one another, just call everyone fags. I find it odd no DVD stores sell anime. there is a chain of small stores where i live called "cd exchange" that mainly focuses on music, but they have a good selection of dvds and anime as well. Best Buy has a shoty selection but you can get lucky there some times too

Bakabt is a second choice, and if I somehow am unable to find it on either of those two (which so far I haven't), then I just find someway to handle it, stream it if I am REALLY desperate.

It has direct downloads as well as torrent, which is nice if you're somewhere you can't torrent.

Also, download CCCP (combined community codec project) it comes with codecs for 10 bit encoding (which alot of hq videos are using now) and a copy of media player classic with all the changes already made.

This is the answer almost every one gets, but its the best one out there.

To play 99% of the media file types out there, use VLC media player. It cant organize for shit, but it plays everything (and then some).

Just keep up with your files, sort them your self by season, and episode number. Invest in an external harddrive and keep everything on there by series, season, episode. takes some time to do but its so worth it.

Nyaa seems to be rather good as of late, both for airing and older shows. I've only just started using BakaBT, but it also seems to be very in-depth, and quite extensive in it's results. I'd recommend downloading over streaming, lasts longer. Unless the show is airing and downloads are rare, I prefer BD quality.

Your retarded, there is nothing wrong with VLC. it plays everything, and if audio and video start to get out of sync there are options to fix that built in. You have to make your own play lists and organize it all your self. But that takes little to no effort, and not having to store any form of library file makes the player load faster.

Try taking screenshot of anamorphic video with VLC than come bask and tell us how did it go. VLC is no brainer option but for best video quality you should use MPC-HC + haali media splitter + LAV codec + madVR, second best option is CCCP and than everything else.

That combo takes about 10 minutes to setup, and there is a guide on almost every fansubing group homepage. Like I said VLC is good no brainer option (version 2.0 that is), but gives you lower image quality compared to alternatives. And assuming you like anime I figured you would want to watch them in best possible quality. Also streaming is kind of pointless when you see image quality of releases that get accepted at bakabt now.

I'm not a big whore for image quality. as long as it looked better than " '97 toonami quality" I'm just fine with it. I normally play anime on my laptop while playing the ps3 or DS. I prefer audio over video quality. and players don't affect that as badly as speakers do. and I have some boss speakers.
