Okay, this is not a troll, but an honest question - I want people's opinion on this.
Why is t "so bad" to have things on your desktop? I'm one of those people that uses my desktop like I do as actual hardware - a place to store all my current projects and things that I do. (I would post it, but some of the stuff I work on is confidential, so I cannot), so why do people prefer their desktops as "clean" as possible? Is ias a neatness/OCD thing, or organization style. If organization, what things do you do to make it more efficient for yourself, while still making things 1) easily accessible 2)present, so it doesn't go "out of sight, out of mind" and 3)structured so things aren't an incoherent jumble of files that arent' related to another.
I usually organize things into four folders on my desktop, then as I get things to test or work on, they go directly onto the desktop until I either finish them, delete them, or shunt them into one of the other folders, due to pushing back in the queue, completion, or I just simply like what I downloaded.
Thoughts?
